Hubei Province has basically completed the remediation of sewage outlets discharging into the Yangtze River this year.

The person in charge of the Ecology and Environment Department of Hubei Province introduced that this year, Hubei will basically complete the rectification of sewage outlets entering the Yangtze River, actively strive to create a leading area for a beautiful China, and transform ecological attractiveness into economic value. The person in charge of the Ecology and Environment Department of Hubei Province introduced that by 2025, the province will firmly shoulder the political responsibility of protecting the Yangtze River, ensuring the water quality safety of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, the Three Gorges Reservoir and its upstream basin, promoting the stabilization and improvement of water quality in important lakes such as Honghu Lake, Liangzi Lake, and Fushou Lake, basically completing the rectification of sewage outlets entering the Yangtze River, and promoting the rural domestic sewage treatment rate to reach 60%, ensuring the peace and tranquility of rivers and lakes in the province, clear water flowing eastward, and clean water being transported northward.
