Secretary-General Cui Dongshu of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the lithium battery market analysis for new energy vehicles in April. In April, China's installed power battery capacity was 54.1GWh, a decrease of 4.3% month-on-month and an increase of 52.8% year-on-year. Among them, the installed capacity of ternary batteries was 9.3GWh, accounting for 17.2% of the total installed capacity, a decrease of 7.0% month-on-month and a decrease of 6.3% year-on-year; the installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 44.8GWh, accounting for 82.8% of the total installed capacity, a decrease of 3.8% month-on-month and an increase of 75.9% year-on-year. From January to April, China's cumulative installed power battery capacity was 184.3GWh, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 52.8%. Among them, the cumulative installed capacity of ternary batteries was 34.3GWh, accounting for 18.6% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 15.9%; the cumulative installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 150.0GWh, accounting for 81.4% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 88.0%.
