The equity auction of Hebei Bank is frequently unsuccessful, with its assets being the largest in the province but unable to conceal its profitability challenges.
According to Ali Asset Auction Network, recently, 10.1753 million shares of Hebei Bank were publicly auctioned, but no one bid and therefore the auction failed. The shares will be auctioned again on May 19th. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the bank's equity auction has failed. Another 6.8429 million shares of the bank have been auctioned three times this year, with the latest starting price discounted by 40% compared to the first starting price, yet still no bidders. Hebei Bank is currently the largest city commercial bank in Hebei province in terms of assets. The bank's annual report for 2024 recently revealed that its operating income in 2024 achieved double-digit growth, but its net profit saw a nearly 20% decline. In terms of asset quality, the bank's non-performing loan ratio in 2024 saw a slight increase compared to the previous year.
