The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for strong winds at 06:00 on May 16th.

It is expected that from 08:00 on May 16th to 08:00 on the 17th, there will be wind of force 5-6 in some areas of eastern Xinjiang, most parts of Inner Mongolia, northern Gansu, central-northern Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, most parts of Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, northern Shandong, and central-western Liaoning, with gusts reaching force 7-8. In particular, in some areas of eastern Xinjiang, central-western Inner Mongolia, northern and western Hebei, there will be locally strong winds of force 7-8, with gusts of force 9-11. The Bo Sea and the northeastern part of the East China Sea will see strong winds of force 7-8, with gusts of force 9-10.
