The S&P 500 index closed up 0.2% with the energy, technology, telecommunications, and consumer discretionary sectors falling by up to 0.8%. The Nasdaq 100 index closed down 0.1%, with constituent stocks Fiserv dropping by 16%, MSTR by 4.8%, and AppLovin, Amazon, Meta, AMD, and others falling by more than 2%. Cisco, on the other hand, rose by 4.7%, and Grail rose by 17%. The Dow closed up by 270 points, or 0.6%, with Coca-Cola, IBM, and Johnson & Johnson rising by over 3%, and Cisco leading Nvidia, Apple, and Disney, which fell by up to 0.7%. UnitedHealth fell by 11.4% and Amazon led the declines.
