Meta's climate commitments have been questioned due to the AI data center in Louisiana, USA.

An important Democratic environmental senator in the United States wants to understand the impact of the artificial intelligence data center being built by Mark Zuckerberg's Meta Platforms in the northeastern part of Louisiana on the climate. Meta is partnering with regional utility company Entergy for this project. Entergy has requested the state commission to expedite approvals for the construction of three new gas turbine power plants in the area to supply power to this data center.
