JPMorgan Chase CEO: Tariff impact could still lead to economic recession
On May 15th local time, Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, stated that with the continued impact of tariffs on the global economy, an economic recession is still possible. Dimon, in an interview that day, said he hopes to avoid this situation, but he cannot rule out the possibility at the moment. If an economic recession does occur, it is unknown how severe it will be or how long it will last. Reports have indicated that the Trump administration's tariff policies have already caused market volatility for over a month. Dimon noted that due to the high market volatility, some clients are postponing investments.
