The first unit of the Batang Hydropower Station on the upper reaches of the Jinsha River has been connected to the grid for power generation.

On the 15th, the first unit of the Huadian Jinshang Batang Hydropower Station, a major project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" located in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, was officially connected to the grid and started generating power after 72 hours of test operation.
