On May 15th local time, the European Commission announced that the EU will invest over 1.25 billion euros through the "Marie Curie Actions" by 2025 to attract new talent to Europe. The announcement stated that this funding will support cutting-edge research, with a focus on training research talents, promoting international cooperation, connecting science with society, and providing targeted support for early-career researchers and displaced Ukrainian scientists. European Commission President von der Leyen announced a new round of 500 million euros for research incentive programs from 2025 to 2027 earlier this month, aiming to "make Europe a magnet for researchers." The commission also launched the pilot project "Choose Europe," hoping to position Europe as the preferred destination for researchers by offering superior working conditions and promising career prospects.
