Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming: Large enterprises are integrating AI applications into user scenarios, and more small and medium-sized enterprises are actively using AI.
On the evening of May 15th, during the Alibaba 2025 fiscal fourth quarter and full year earnings analyst call, Alibaba Group CEO Wu Yongming stated that in the past fiscal year, the strategy of "customer first, driven by AI" continues to yield results, with core business growth accelerating. The group has basically formed a development layout of AI + cloud, e-commerce, and other Internet platform businesses. "Wu Yongming said, "This quarter, the penetration of our AI products in the industry is rapidly expanding. In addition to Internet, smart cars, finance, online education, many traditional industries such as farming, traditional manufacturing, etc., are actively exploring AI applications, with demand growth also significant." During the call, Wu Yongming also shared two major trends in the AI field: first, in large and medium-sized enterprises, AI applications are starting to penetrate from internal systems to user-side scenarios; second, customers actively using AI products are extending from large and medium-sized enterprises to a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises. Wu Yongming said, "In the 2026 fiscal year, we will continue to focus on core business growth in e-commerce and AI + cloud, shaping a second growth curve driven by technology in the medium to long term."
