The Ministry of National Defense introduces the China-Russia Joint Sea Military Exercise.

Today, the new spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, Jiang Bin, made his official debut. Jiang Bin introduced that from May 9th to 16th, the "China-Singapore Cooperation-2025" joint maritime exercise was held in the waters near the Changi Naval Base in Singapore and east of Singapore. The Chinese Navy missile frigate Xuchang and mine hunting ship Chishui, as well as the Singaporean frigate "Steadfast" and minesweeper "Valiant" participated in the exercise. The two sides jointly planned and carried out live-fire drills, including ship-to-ship strikes, maritime replenishment, and joint search and rescue, effectively testing the tactical command coordination and joint operational capabilities of the participating forces. During the exercise, the participating officers and soldiers also engaged in professional discussions, ship visits, cultural exchanges, and other activities. This is the fourth time that the Chinese and Singaporean militaries have held this series of exercises, which is of great significance for further deepening practical cooperation and enhancing maritime joint operational capabilities.
