On May 15, Mitsubishi Chemical announced that its subsidiary, MU Ionic Solutions Co., Ltd., has reached a technology licensing agreement with CATL on lithium-ion secondary battery-related patents held by MUIS. MUIS has long been focusing on the interface between positive electrode materials and electrolytes, and has successfully developed positive electrode interface control technology based on bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and holds multiple patents related to this technology. This time, MUIS and CATL have reached an agreement and signed an agreement on the technology licensing of MP1 Technology-related patents.
