Today, the Guangdong branch of the General Administration of Customs learned that a series of customs clearance facilitation measures have been introduced to ensure the smooth holding of the 15th National Games in 2025. To simplify procedures, customs allows the use of ATA carnets to handle relevant procedures. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao customs all recognize ATA carnets for customs clearance, and the use of this document does not require different import and export documents for the three regions. Additionally, during the temporary import period, no customs duties or other related import taxes need to be paid, effectively reducing the cost of the event. Simplifying customs clearance procedures ensures that quarantine samples that meet the requirements for entry and exit doping checks are quickly released, guaranteeing the efficiency of sample clearance and maintaining public health and safety at ports. For cross-border events such as road cycling races and marathons, support is provided for achieving seamless customs clearance during the event. Shenzhen Customs and Gongbei Customs have innovatively adopted models such as pre-inspection, full enclosure, and seamless customs clearance.
