Waymo is recalling nearly 1,200 self-driving taxis in the US due to a minor collision.

On May 14th local time, Alphabet's self-driving technology company Waymo will recall nearly 1200 autonomous taxis to update the software to address collisions with iron chains, gates, and other road obstacles. Waymo stated that, to its knowledge, there have been 16 incidents of Waymo vehicles colliding with iron chains, gates, and other obstacles between 2022 and the end of 2024, but no injuries were reported.
