In April 2025, Henan Province reported a total of 44,438 cases of statutory infectious diseases, with 133 reported deaths. There were no reports of Class A infectious diseases. Among Class B infectious diseases, there were no reports of non-infectious SARS, polio, human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza, Japanese encephalitis, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, trachoma, schistosomiasis, or human infection with H7N9 avian influenza. The remaining 19 infectious diseases reported a total of 21,135 cases and 133 deaths. The top five reported infectious diseases were viral hepatitis, novel coronavirus infection, pulmonary tuberculosis, syphilis, and brucellosis, accounting for 93.90% of the total reported cases of Class B infectious diseases.
