A traffic accident occurred in central Mexico, resulting in 18 people dead at the scene.

According to officials from the Department of Interior of Puebla State in central Mexico, a serious traffic accident occurred on the Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca highway on the morning of May 14th, local time, resulting in 18 people being killed on the spot. The report stated that a trailer and a van collided and caught on fire. After the accident, the section of the road involved was closed. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
