According to a report citing two sources, the Russian government is considering extending the gasoline export restrictions by two months until the end of October. In March last year, Russia imposed a natural gas export ban to address the significant increase in fuel wholesale prices and the risk of shortages in the domestic market. In November last year, the government partially lifted the ban for most major producers, but the ban on other export traders such as independent traders and resellers continues to be extended. It was reported that on Wednesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak chaired a government meeting to discuss the ban issue.
