Anhui: All 16 cities have met the "Gigabit City" standard.

On May 14th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference and answer questions from journalists. Qian Sanxiong, member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, introduced that Anhui is accelerating the construction of gigabit optical networks, 5G, and other digital infrastructure. The province has already surpassed 167,000 5G base stations, and all 16 cities have met the standards of "gigabit cities."
