The industry calls it a Christmas miracle for American retailers! Ports and shipping companies expect a surge in freight demand.
On May 12th local time, the "Joint Statement of China-US-Japan Geneva Economic and Trade Talks" was released. A senior American line freight forwarder interviewed by First Financial journalist said that his first reaction was "American retailers' Christmas is saved!" He said that there may be a warehouse explosion at ports in the future, and the backlog of goods will be released soon. He explained to the journalist that the logistics time of traditional large retailers is longer than e-commerce, so they usually place orders in the second quarter and ship in the third quarter, otherwise they will face the dilemma of having no goods to sell during the Christmas season. He predicted that warehouse space will be tight in the next month due to multiple reasons.
