On May 14th, it was learned from Shanghai Customs that in the first four months of this year, the total import and export value between Shanghai and Latin American and Caribbean countries reached 90.81 billion yuan, a 2% increase year-on-year. Since its opening in December last year, the "Qiankai-Shanghai" ocean shipping route has seen a steady increase in freight volume and import and export value. In the first four months of this year, the route has operated 48 voyages, with Shanghai Customs supervising a total of 41,000 tons of goods worth 10.2 billion yuan. With the help of this route, Shanghai's foreign trade import and export value with Peru has increased by over 60%.
