WeChat establishes e-commerce product department to explore new trading models within WeChat.

On the afternoon of May 14, Tencent released a company-wide letter today, involving adjustments to the WXG Business Group. The main contents include: the establishment of an e-commerce product department, responsible for exploring transaction models within WeChat, accelerating the development of transaction infrastructure and transaction ecology, and operating a new WeChat transaction model; the Open Platform Infrastructure Department has been renamed as the Open Platform Department, responsible for the planning, research and development, and operation of WeChat official accounts and Mini Programs products.
