South Korean and American Treasury officials discuss the foreign exchange market.

On May 5th, South Korean Deputy Minister of Finance Choi Ji-yong met with Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury Robert Kapro. The two discussed issues related to the USD/KRW foreign exchange market. The meeting took place during the 58th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Milan, Italy. Prior to this, South Korea and the US reached an agreement in April to develop a trade plan by July to eliminate the impact of US tariffs before the temporary tariff suspension period ends.
