On May 14, major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region closed with mixed results. The Nikkei 225 index closed down 0.14% at 38,128.13 points. In terms of heavyweight stocks, Toyota Motor Corp. fell by 3.53%, Nintendo fell by 2.54%, and Itochu Corporation fell by 1.93%. The South Korean composite index closed up 1.23% at 2,640.57 points. Among heavyweight stocks, Doosan Energy rose by 5.56% and SK Hynix rose by 3.78%. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 index closed up 0.13% at 8,279.6 points. The New Zealand S&P/NZX 50 index closed down 0.06% at 12,779.26 points.
