The second cross-border railway between China and Mongolia started construction today.

Today, it was learned from the State Energy Group that the second cross-border railway between China and Mongolia the China Ganqimaodu to Mongolia Gashuusuhaitu Railway Project has officially started construction. This is the second cross-border railway between China and Mongolia built after the completion and opening of the Erenhot to Zamyn-d Railway in 1956, nearly 70 years later. This railway is jointly promoted by China and Mongolia, starting from the Ganqimaodu port in Bayannur City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and passing through the Gashuusuuhaitu port in Mongolia, connecting with the Gashuusuuhaitu Station in South Gobi Province of Mongolia, with a total length of 9.91 kilometers.
