National Bureau of Statistics: The price of live pigs in early May dropped by 0.7% compared to the previous month.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics on May 14th, monitoring of the market prices of 50 important production materials in 9 major categories in the national circulation sector showed that in early May 2025, compared to late April, the prices of 12 products rose, 32 products fell, and 6 products remained unchanged. Among them, the price of live pigs was 14.8 RMB/kg, a decrease of 0.7%; the price of soybean meal was 3241.2 RMB/ton, a decrease of 12.9%.
