Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission announced that it will include the Canadian province of Ontario in its list of acceptable regulatory regimes.

Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong: Signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ontario Securities Commission of Canada to strengthen cooperation in the supervision of investment managers of collective investment schemes in both jurisdictions. The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong has included the Ontario Securities Commission in its list of acceptable regulatory systems after signing the memorandum of understanding; this will facilitate management companies holding licenses from the Ontario Securities Commission to provide investment management services for SFC-authorized funds.
