On the afternoon of May 13, Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang met with Brazilian President Lula at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing during his state visit to China. Li Keqiang stated that in the more than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, the two countries have always respected and supported each other, being good friends and partners in mutual development. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Brazil relations have entered a "golden period" of development. President Xi Jinping will hold talks with President Lula to further outline the blueprint for building a community of shared future between China and Brazil. China is willing to work together with Brazil to maintain high-level exchanges, deepen political mutual trust, enrich the strategic content of bilateral relations, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, and move forward side by side in the path towards modernization and mutual achievements. Li Keqiang pointed out that the current international situation is complex and variable, and as developing countries and important emerging economies, China and Brazil should strengthen unity and cooperation, join hands to resist risks and challenges, and achieve a higher level of mutually beneficial cooperation. China is willing to enhance strategic alignment with Brazil, leverage complementary advantages in industrial structure, explore more areas of shared interests, deepen cooperation in finance, trade and investment, infrastructure, industrial chain, green transformation, and other fields, and create more flagship projects. Both sides should strengthen cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, advanced manufacturing, and biomedicine, and continuously enhance the innovative driving force of practical cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to closely communicate and coordinate with Brazil in multilateral affairs, continue to firmly uphold the central position of the United Nations, practice true multilateralism, promote equal and orderly world multipolarization and inclusive economic globalization, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, contributing an important force to maintaining world peace and stability. Lula stated that the current Brazil-China relations maintain a high level of development, and the construction of a community of shared future between Brazil and China for a fairer world and a more sustainable planet has been effective. Brazil highly values the development of its relationship with China and is willing to further intensify high-level exchanges with China, strengthen strategic alignment between Brazil's development and the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in finance, infrastructure construction, industrial chain, agriculture, aerospace, medicine, artificial intelligence, and other fields with China. Brazil is willing to closely communicate and cooperate with China in multilateral affairs, support multilateralism, jointly resist unilateralism and protectionism, safeguard national sovereignty, and promote the common development of the Global South.
