According to a monthly survey of global fund managers by Bank of America, investors' pessimism about global economic growth in May has slightly eased. A net 59% of investors expect global economic growth to slow down, down from 82% in April. Only a net 1% of people believe a recession is likely, a significant decrease from 42% in April. The current consensus among investors is that there will be a soft landing, with inflation decreasing but the economy not significantly slowing down or entering a recession. 61% of investors expect this result this month, up from 37% in April. Expectations for a hard landing have decreased from 49% in April to 26%.
