Weiyin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Wuzhou Municipal Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is under investigation.

According to the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Wei Yan, a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Wuzhou Municipal Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing discipline inspection and supervision investigation by the autonomous region's Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervisory Commission.
