Sharp will sell its Kameyama Second Factory, which produces LCD panels, to Foxconn.

On May 12, Sharp announced that it will sell the second factory at its Kameyama plant, which produces small and medium-sized LCD panels, to Hon Hai by August 2026 at the latest. Due to the downturn in the LCD business, Sharp has been reducing the plant's production capacity until 2024.
