The U.S. Department of the Interior announced on Monday that it will expedite the environmental permits for the Velvet-Wood uranium mining project being constructed by Anfield Energy Company in Utah to support President Trump's efforts to increase domestic energy production. The environmental review for the project will be completed within 14 days. Due to the potential environmental impact of uranium mining, such reviews typically take several years. "Due to the extreme climate policies of the previous administration, the United States is facing a concerning energy crisis. President Trump and we are swiftly and forcefully addressing this crisis," said Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.
