Among its components, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries opened 1.94% higher, Infosys Technologies rose 1.44%, and Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank gained 0.81%. On the downside, Power Grid Corporation of India opened 1.68% lower, MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA fell 0.79%, and HDFC Bank dropped 0.69%.
