According to the Shenzhen survey team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the CPI in Shenzhen rose by 0.4% month-on-month and by 0.1% year-on-year in April. The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose by 0.6% year-on-year. From a year-on-year perspective, in the non-food category, labor and operating costs increased, driving the prices of dining out to rise by 3.4%, affecting the CPI to rise by approximately 0.39 percentage points; affected by the continuous rise in international gold prices, the price of gold jewelry rose by 35.6%, affecting the CPI to rise by approximately 0.11 percentage points.
