Hong Kong and Qatar signed multiple cooperation agreements involving investments, technology, and capital markets.
According to the Wise Finance and Economics APP, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam continued her visit to Qatar, during which government departments, enterprises, and institutions from Hong Kong, mainland China, and Qatar exchanged and announced 35 memoranda of cooperation and cooperation agreements covering economic cooperation, investment, technology, legal cooperation, as well as financial, banking, and capital market development, among other areas. In addition to the cooperation between Hong Kong and Qatar, two agreements were reached directly between mainland China and Qatari enterprises in the areas of financial services and high-end manufacturing. Furthermore, Hong Kong, mainland China, and Qatar also reached a trilateral agreement to jointly promote cooperation in financial technology, including collaboration on Web3 and artificial intelligence.
