Sichuan introduces 16 "real money and silver" measures to promote high-quality development of low-altitude economy.

Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Sichuan Province and other departments issued the "Several Policy Measures to Support the Development of Low Altitude Economy". The "Measures" specify 16 policies for the development of low altitude economy, covering five major areas including infrastructure, scenario application, technological research, low altitude manufacturing, and special funds. The "Measures" will be implemented from the date of issuance and will be valid for 3 years. The "Measures" focus on accelerating the construction of general airports, improving the functions of general aviation at transport airports, and clearly define related support policies in these areas. For example, Sichuan provides a one-time subsidy of 10% of the investment estimated in the feasibility study report approved for the construction, expansion, or renovation of Class A general airport projects using provincial financial funds. The "Measures" also specify that provincial finances will provide financial support to local governments to a maximum of 60% of the subsidy funds for operating subsidies generated by eligible application scenario projects. This funding will be used by local authorities to create demonstration scenarios for low altitude economic applications. The "Measures" also provide strong support for companies to enhance their technological innovation capabilities. They clearly outline various forms of support for technological research in areas such as the development of complete low altitude equipment, low altitude power equipment, and counter-drone equipment. For example, Sichuan supports companies in the research and development of high-altitude general aircraft, large and medium-sized drones, manned eVTOL, flying cars, and low altitude agricultural equipment for hilly areas, providing financial support of 30% of the project investment up to a maximum of 20 million RMB.
