On May 13th, it was reported that the luxury brand Dior sent a text message to its users about a data breach. The message stated that on May 7th, 2025, Dior discovered that unauthorized external parties had accessed some customer data held by Dior. The leaked data included customer names, gender, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, purchase amounts, preferences, and other information collected by the brand. The accessed database did not contain financial information such as bank account details, international bank account numbers, or credit card information. Dior reminded Chinese customers to be highly cautious and advised them to be vigilant against any suspicious communications. They should not open or click on communications or links from unknown sources, and should not disclose sensitive information such as verification codes or passwords. Dior customer service confirmed this information to Sina Finance, stating, "We recently discovered an incident in which unauthorized external parties accessed some of our data, including customer data. Upon discovering this incident, we immediately began taking measures to control it."
