The Central Bank of Brazil has reduced the country's 2025 inflation expectations four times in a row.
On May 12th local time, the "Focus Report" released by the Central Bank of Brazil showed that the inflation expectations for Brazil in 2025 have been lowered from 5.53% to 5.5%, and the inflation expectations for 2026 have been lowered from 4.51% to 4.50%. The National Monetary Committee of Brazil has set the inflation management targets for 2024 to 2026 at 3%, with a floating range of 1.5 percentage points. The report also indicates that the Central Bank of Brazil maintains its economic growth forecast for 2025 at 2.00%; the benchmark interest rate expectations for 2025 and 2026 are maintained at 14.75% and 12.5% respectively. Through surveys of more than 100 financial institutions, the Central Bank of Brazil regularly publishes the "Focus Report" to predict the situations and trends of important economic data in the country.
