Ministry of Commerce data shows that as of May 11, the number of subsidy applications for trading in old cars for new ones in 2025 reached 3.225 million, with 1.035 million for scrapping and renewal and 2.19 million for replacement. Since the implementation of the policy for trading in old cars for new ones in 2024, the cumulative number of subsidy applications has exceeded 10 million.
