According to the report from the Cyberspace Administration of China, in April 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China guided the national network information reporting departments and major website platforms to accept 17.99 million reports from netizens reporting illegal and unhealthy information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, rumors, etc., with a decrease of 2.6% month-on-month and 10.4% year-on-year. Among them, the Cyberspace Administration of China received 410,000 reports, an increase of 4.9% month-on-month and a decrease of 3.8% year-on-year; local network information reporting departments received 619,000 reports, a decrease of 24.9% month-on-month and 59.0% year-on-year; major website platforms nationwide accepted 16.969 million reports, a decrease of 1.7% month-on-month and 6.5% year-on-year. Among the reports accepted by major website platforms nationwide, major commercial website platforms accepted 15.508 million reports, accounting for 91.4%.
