On May 9, 2025, Xin Guobin, member of the party group and deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over a symposium on the industrial economic operation of some provinces in Beijing to understand the current industrial economic situation in various regions, analyze and judge the industrial economic situation in the second quarter, and discuss the next step of work deployment. The meeting emphasized that in the face of a severe and complex international situation, it is necessary to maintain strategic focus, coordinate the use of the "two new" and "two heavy" policies, continuously cultivate and strengthen new quality productive forces, vigorously promote the upgrading of key industries, actively carry out comprehensive rectification of "internal competition" in accordance with the central deployment, and create a good environment for the development of enterprises. It is necessary to adhere to bottom-line thinking, implement policies such as stabilizing the economy and ensuring employment, increase support for enterprises greatly affected by tariffs, actively support enterprises in "going out," strengthen economic operation analysis and judgment, enhance policy research reserves, and promote the economy to achieve qualitative and effective improvement and reasonable growth in quantity.
