On May 9th, local time in the South Kivu Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a sudden flood occurred. According to the disaster statistics released by the provincial government on May 11th, the Kasaba village in the Fizi area of the province had 62 people dead, 50 missing, and about 30 injured due to the flood.
