The China-Latin America Forum officially celebrates its tenth anniversary. Qiu Xiaoqi: Development and revitalization are common tasks facing China and Latin America.
The Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Latin America and Caribbean Countries Community Forum will be held in Beijing on the 13th of this month, with foreign ministers or representatives from member countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and relevant regional and international organizations in attendance. Qiu Xiaoqi, Special Representative for Latin American Affairs of the Chinese government, stated that China has established different types of partnerships with 16 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean region. In the current complex and ever-changing international situation with increasing deficits in peace, development, and governance, China and Latin America will use this Ministerial Meeting as an opportunity to send a unified message of solidarity, cooperation, and joint challenge response to the world, promoting the deepening and solidifying of the construction of a common destiny community between China and Latin America. Over the past decade, the China-Latin America Forum mechanism has become the main channel for overall cooperation between China and Latin America. Qiu Xiaoqi stated that development and revitalization are common tasks faced by China and Latin America. Currently, more than 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean have joined the "Belt and Road" initiative. China has implemented over 200 infrastructure projects in the region, providing millions of job opportunities, and actively engaging in capacity cooperation to help the region improve its industrialization level.
