From May 9th to 10th, Nie Wenhui, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led a delegation to visit Costa Rica. They met with the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica, Barajas, the Director of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, Castro, the President of the Foreign Trade Chamber, Salazar, and the former Costa Rican Ambassador to China, Delgado. Nie introduced the economic situation in China and the measures for opening up to the outside world, focusing on deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry between the two countries, and jointly working to uphold multilateralism and free trade. They invited the Costa Rican side to participate in the Third China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo and the 18th China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit. Nie also attended the China-Costa Rica Economic and Trade Exchange and docking meeting, as well as the promotion meeting for the Third Chain Expo, and met with the Chinese Ambassador to Costa Rica, Wang Xiaoyao. They visited local specialty agricultural product enterprises, conducted research at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade representative office in Costa Rica, and held discussions with representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises in Costa Rica. Practical discussions and negotiations were conducted between the two sides' enterprises, and relevant companies and institutions signed cooperation agreements.
