The transformation of our country's steel industry is in progress. Over one hundred steel companies have already completed the transformation to ultra-low emissions.

As of April 20, 2025, 141 steel companies have completed the ultra-low emission transformation process in full, involving approximately 5.91 billion tons of crude steel production capacity; 47 steel companies have partially completed the ultra-low emission transformation, involving production capacity of approximately 1.69 billion tons. At the same time, experts say that in the process of promoting the "dual carbon" strategy in the steel industry this year, the technological innovation of using recycled steel raw materials instead of iron ore production has shown significant results - compared to traditional iron ore smelting, this technology can reduce more than 67% of carbon dioxide emissions. China's steel industry is transitioning from a "resource-product" linear model to a "resource-product-recycled resource" closed-loop transformation.
