On May 10th, Li Daokui, Dean of the Institute of Chinese Economic Thought and Practice at Tsinghua University, stated at the China Capital Market Reform and Development Seminar and the theoretical workshop on "Theoretical Logic of the Chinese Capital Market" that it is necessary to further strengthen the independence, long-term nature, diversity, and professionalism of regulation. Li Daokui believes that the difficulty of nurturing the capital market, as a hub of various interests, far exceeds that of the manufacturing industry. "Currently, the incentive mechanisms of the government in the field of capital markets still need improvement, and this market has long product terms, a wide range of participants, and complex structures," said Li Daokui. Therefore, he suggested further strengthening the independence, long-term nature, diversity, and professionalism of regulation to promote the healthy development of the Chinese capital market and help it move towards a world-leading level, just like the successful rise of China's manufacturing industry.
