President Trump of the United States stated that imposing a 100% tariff on foreign-made films is aimed at safeguarding national security and economic security, in order to "make Hollywood great again". In response to this, Stanley Rosen, a professor at the University of Southern California who researches Chinese films, said in an interview with reporters on the 9th that the U.S. government's approach is impractical and, if implemented, will actually harm the American film industry.
