Wang Youpeng, former member of the Party Committee and vice chairman of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Guangdong Province, has been expelled from the Party.
According to the news from the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated an investigation into the serious discipline and law violations of Wang Youpeng, former member and vice chairman of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It was found that Wang Youpeng had lost his ideal and belief, betrayed his original mission, breached the bottom line of integrity, engaged in corrupt practices involving money and sex, had inflated greed, extorted money without restraint, used his position to seek benefits for others in project approvals, land exchanges, and other aspects, and illegally accepted large amounts of property. Wang Youpeng has seriously violated the Party's clean discipline, committed serious job-related violations and suspected of bribery crimes. After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he did not restrain himself, did not stop, his actions were serious and had a negative impact, and should be dealt with severely. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Discipline Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Punishment Law for Public Servants of the People's Republic of China," after study and approval by the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, it was decided to expel Wang Youpeng from the Party; the Guangdong Provincial Supervision Commission will remove him from his public office; seize his ill-gotten gains from his violations of discipline and law; and transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial authorities for review and prosecution, with all relevant property being transferred as well.
