Sino-Russian Joint Statement: Explore the potential of technology cooperation, and expand new cooperation directions in areas such as innovation, basic research, and applied research.

On May 8th, China and Russia issued a joint statement to commemorate the victory of the Chinese people's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union, and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Russia in the new era. It mentioned that to further promote mutually beneficial cooperation, both sides agreed to tap into the potential of scientific and technological cooperation, expand new directions of cooperation in innovation, basic research, and applied research, regularly carry out joint selection of science and technology projects, implement research projects, and support new modes of scientific and technological cooperation. Comprehensively deepen practical cooperation in various fields such as economy and trade, customs, agriculture, transportation, finance, industry, environmental protection, aerospace and satellite navigation, nuclear energy, urban construction, health, information and communication technology, to effectively ensure that bilateral cooperation achieves quality improvement by 2030.
