On Thursday, US Secretary of Commerce Lutnick announced in the Oval Office a large-scale deal that is about to be reached between a British airline and Boeing. Lutnick refused to disclose which airline would be purchasing these planes, but he stated that it would be a $10 billion order. Irish airline Ryanair had stated last month that they would consider canceling a large Boeing aircraft order if the US continued to impose tariffs. Boeing (BA.N) rose 3% on Thursday. The company had previously stated that tariffs could harm its already struggling business.
