US Commerce Secretary announces $100 billion Boeing aircraft order.

On Thursday, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick announced in the Oval Office a major deal between a British airline and Boeing that is set to be finalized. Lutnick refused to disclose which airline would be purchasing the aircraft, but stated that it would be a $10 billion order. Irish airline Ryanair had previously stated that if the US continues to impose tariffs, the company would consider canceling a large Boeing aircraft order. Boeing rose 3% on Thursday. The company had previously stated that tariffs could harm its already struggling business.
